get out and experience it

i don't know if i believe in "wisdom" but i do believe that with all experience comes a lesson learned. and even if i do always say age is nothing but a number, it is true that with age there comes a certain sense of well-being and a process of growing into who you are, an acceptance, to be comfortable in your skin, resulting in learning to love yourself for who you are despite whatever may or may not be your flaws. (i guess this is what they call "growth" haha). so i think it's imperative to experience as much as you can in life, whatever your age may be. because there is a difference between living your life, and simply existing.

that's why i think it's good when kids go out and get into trouble because despite what others may say, they are at least out there living it up. i feel like parents sometimes want to forcefully mold their kids into something they're not, without realizing that they are stifling who they are out of them. yes they came from your loins and inevitably a part of you exists in them, but they are also individuals who are completely separate from you and who you are.

at the same time what do i know, i was never a parent. but i think society should learn to let kids be kids and have their fun, instead of enforcing a million rules on them. because the earlier they experience things, the more equipped they'll be in facing whatever the future might bring. and they'll be aware of the difference between living and existing.
