blue bloody fuckin' valentine

"I feel like men are more romantic than women. When we get married we marry, like, one girl, 'cause we're resistant the whole way until we meet one girl and we think I'd be an idiot if I didn't marry this girl she's so great. But it seems like girls get to a place where they just kinda pick the best option... 'Oh he's got a good job.' I mean they spend their whole life looking for Prince Charming and then they marry the guy who's got a good job and is gonna stick around." - dean

this movie was intense. i still can't tell if i agree with that quote or not, and whether i liked the movie or not. i know i liked it but i didn't love it, but i did not hate it either. i think it was just too... real. and we go to the movies to escape reality, not to have reality mirrored back at us. so it's hard to say. and the movie is like a rollercoaster ride, you're constantly thrust up and down, up and down, emotionally. and there really was no resolution at the end, it's left open-ended as most things are in real life. (i admit i would've liked some sort of a closure, it is a movie afterall...) but ryan gosling and michelle williams are amazing, and the sweet parts are soooo sweet that you can't help but smile from ear to ear. at times i couldn't contain myself and i think i giggled like a little 16 year old girl fantasizing about edward cullen or justin bieber or whoever girls are obsessed with these days! and the rough bits are real, raw, and emotional it's super depressing.

omg, i wanted to watch this. It seemed intense, just by looking at the billboard---like an all-consuming type of love relationship.
Gahhh they're cute together!!!
