heart out of control

my heart and my mind are always racing against each other, in opposite directions. when my mind says no, the heart says yes. i guess we wouldn't be human if we could control our feelings with our minds. my past was, my present is, and my future will forever be marked by moments of collisions between what i want and what really is.

the human heart can be a dangerous thing, seeing how much resistance can be so futile!
