Blech.

i finally got to watch kitchen (or the naked kitchen) starring kim tae woo, shin mina & ju ji hoon. i've been meaning to watch this for awhile, and i'm happy i did - it was such a charming little movie. i don't know why i'm always drawn towards the theme of infidelity. cheating itself isn't very interesting, but the motivations and circumstances that result in the the act always is. i'm also interested in the notion of polyamory: being in love with more than one person. i wonder if it's possible, if it's real?

anyway, i was surprised to learn that this movie was loosely based on banana yoshimoto's novel of the same title. surprised because there was this guy i was hooking up with late last summer, and it was through him that i was first introduced to this author. he actually bought me the novel kitchen, though he meant for me to read a different short story within the book. that didn't end well and i was heart broken, and i haven't touched the book since that summer. anyhoot, i loved the movie, but now that i think about it, every time i watch this movie i'll associate it with this person, which i don't know if it's a good or a bad thing.
